November 2, 2015
Letter from the Chairman

The end of the year is quickly approaching and AAHA has accomplished so much in such a short time. We completed our third annual AAHA 5K Run/Walk in October and raised over $1500. The funds will be used to give back to several local charities for our community outreach program. We'll announce those charities at the upcoming November luncheon at Rio Rio Cantina. Mark your calendar and join us on November 19; and bring tissues as you're sure to shed a few tears when you hear about these deserving charities and what they do for our community.

The votes are in! We have selected four very qualified candidates to fill vacant board positions in 2016. The nominating committee has tallied the results and the new AAHA Board members will be announced at the November luncheon. The new board members will begin shadowing their predecessors and officially take office in December.

Remember, all memberships expire December 31, 2015, so make sure to include AAHA membership in your budgets for 2016. The Membership Director will be sending out a reminder as we get closer to December. We look forward to networking, partnering and working together with you in 2016!

AAHA Community Outreach

For the month of November & December, the AAHA Gives Back Community Outreach Committee will be collecting for SAPD Blue Santa.  Donations of toys, board games, and stocking stuffers are a big hit.  We have partnered with SAPD before and that this is a worthwhile opportunity to GIVE some Holiday Spirit.  We will be collecting these items at the November & December luncheons, so please make sure to bring anything you would like to donate there.

If you have any items that you'd like to be picked up, please contact Community Outreach Director, Rudy Saenz at rsaenz@acemart.com
