This summer has absolutely flown by. In just a short week, it will be August. The kids will be getting ready to go back to school and the leisure visitor business will be slowing down. Before you know it, they'll be lighting up the Riverwalk with sparkling lights for Christmas.

So let's take advantage of those last few weeks. Perhaps we can plan a float trip down the Comal river in New Braunfels, head out to SeaWorld or Six Flags for more fun and adventure or vacation in your own backyard and take a river barge ride to re-discover downtown. Whatever you decide to do, make sure you take a moment to enjoy the last few weeks of summer.

How long have you been in your position?:
10 months in my current position and almost 2 quick years with D&B!

What do you like to do in your free time?:
I am addicted to gardening! I grow so many fruits and vegetables that I don't know what to do with them all. I grow green chile, many types of peppers, cucumbers, watermelon, tomatoes, raspberries, & blackberries. I enjoy a good beer or glass of wine. When I have free time, I brew my own beer, though I'm not very good at it. I enjoy cooking and grilling and am much better at that than I am at brewing beer. I love to fish and swim and anything that has to do with the outdoors.

Marital Status:
I am married to my wonderful husband of 3 years who is a K9 trainer for the US Air Force.

Do you have kids?
I have two furry children named Zoe and Brewster.

What's your all-time favorite movie?:
Oh too many to name. I love a good comedy or mob flick.

What is your favorite San Antonio restaurant?:
I'm fairly new to San Antonio and I don't eat out a lot. Feel free to send me recommendations!

What's your favorite thing to do in San Antonio?:
I love the Alamo Drafthouse! I swear it's the best thing since sliced bread. There is so much to do in San Antonio I would be hard pressed to pick one.

Where did you go on your last vacation?:
My last vacation was to Port Aransas and we went deep sea fishing and I caught a 12 lb. Mackerel.

If you could vacation anywhere in the world, where would it be and why?:
I would love to go to Bora Bora and Fiji. Staying in a hut that is on the ocean would be a dream come true, not to mention the crystal clear water and being able to see all the ocean life.

What's your favorite ice cream flavor?

How long have you been a member of AAHA?:
Brand spankin' new!

What has been the most helpful about your association with AAHA?:
Meeting all of the great people and contacts. Being a transplant can sometimes put you at a disadvantage in this industry, but with the help of AAHA I look forward to meeting new people and putting faces to names.

What can AAHA improve upon?:
I have zero complaints--keep doing what you do!
